Meet Bloomington PrairieThunder's Mascot, "CHIP"

Chip, the lovable mascot of the Bloomington PrairieThunder, appears at all PrairieThunder home games and is available on a limited basis for community appearances.

Fans never know where the fury, fun-loving buffalo mascot can be found during games at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. He may be entertaining fans in the stands or the suites, delivering flowers or serving cake at a child’s birthday party.

Chip’s name evolved from a Pantagraph-sponsored contest for school-aged children. Megan Fish of Bloomington was the first of 12 students to submit the winning name.
