Biography
Preston came to the PrairieThunder in a trade with Dayton on March 15 with teammate John Snowden. The two were acquired for Greg McCauley.
Preston began his pro career with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL in 2006 after graduating from Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania. He spent his first full season as a pro in Oklahoma City (three games) and with the Rocky Mountain Rage of the CHL.
The following year he moved to the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL before splitting time last season with the Gwinnett Gladiators and the Rocky Mountain Rage. During his 166-game pro career entering fifth season, Preston has four goals and 16 assists for 20 points.
